Kangwa Happy But Feels He should get More -Manchester United News
Kagawa sends thanks to Moyes for this season but admits he wants more from himself
Shinji Kagawa has told ManUtd.jp that he is grateful to David Moyes for the opportunities he has given him so far this season but admitted he wants to improve himself so that he will be given more chances in bigger matches.
The 24-year-old was chosen to start ahead of the in-form Adnan Januzaj which raised some eyebrows because of how well the youngster had performed but his professional performance against Arsenal was one of his best from his unfavoured left wing position.
He did a lot of defensive work and helped United beat Arsenal 1-0 in a result that has completely changed the shape of the Premier League and he wants to be able to play in more games like Arsenal as the season progresses.
“I think I needed to make the match more satisfactory for myself,” he told ManUtd.jp.
“Also, I hope to have more experiences to play more big matches. I am grateful for the manager who gave me the chance to play.
“I want to improve myself more so that I can shine more in a match like this.”
Kagawa has slowly edged his way into the United team and his inclusion in the starting XI on Sunday was the clearest indication so far that David Moyes believes he is ready for the United first team. It was the biggest game of the season so far for United, so he wouldn’t have played Kagawa if he wasn’t his first choice on the day.
The Japanese playmaker has struggled out on the left but he now looks to be playing better every time he is placed there. The rise of Januzaj didn’t do anything to help his first team opportunities but Kagawa’s disciplined performance against Arsenal would have done him no harm in Moyes’ eyes.
All Kagawa can now do is continue to put as much into training as possible and play well when given the opportunity. If he does that, he has every chance of becoming a regular starter this season.
Arsenal Sign Dzeko Or Benzema?About Dzeko See what Arsenal has to say:
The Manchester City forward will be allowed to leave the club with a move in winter already mooted but should the Gunners aim to sign the Bosnian to compete with Giroud?
POLLArsenal are flying high domestically and on the continent but critics have suggested Sunday's loss to Manchester United bore the signs of fatigue, not least in the case of Olivier Giroud, who has started 18 of the Gunners' 19 matches this season.
The Frenchman has impressed, returning eight goals and five assists for Arsene Wenger's side but with an out of sorts Nicklas Bendtner his only competition up front, Arsene Wenger will be encouraged to bring in a new forward in January.
Manchester City are not expected to offer 27-year-old Edin Dzeko a new contract and are prepared to listen to offers for the Bosnia international - and Arsenal are heavily linked with a move this winter.
Rosicky-Arsenal Could be offered a new contract
The long-serving midfielder will be handed a one-year extension to his deal, due to expire next summer, should he feature in the required number of games for the first team
Tomas Rosicky will be offered a one-year contract extension by Arsenal if he plays 25 matches for the club this season, Goal can reveal. The 33-year-old is in the final year of his current deal, which is due to expire next summer.
Goal understands that, under the terms of the agreement, a contract offer will be triggered if he reaches the 25-match mark in the current campaign.

He has made 11 appearances for the Gunners this season, eight of which were starts, including key roles in recent victories over Liverpool and Dortmund.
By contrast, he played 16 matches for the club last season and 38 in 2011-12.
The Czech Republic international has always been a favourite of manager Arsene Wenger despite injury problems hampering his availability and contributing to frequent and lengthy absences from the team.
"I believe he is an exceptional player, a natural footballer who is technically top class," said the Frenchman when Rosicky signed a new contract in 2012.
"He plays the style of football we champion here and shares completely our philosophy. I have huge respect for him."
Rosicky, who is the club's fourth longest-serving player after Nicklas Bendtner, Abou Diaby and Theo Walcott, has made 193 appearances in total for the club, scoring 19 goals.

Manchester United-Kangwa And Reus Exchange deal
Manchester United eyes Kagawa and Reus swap deal
Interestingly today, Marco Reus’ buyout clause was revealed. Manchester United are interested in a swap deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus that would see Shinji Kagawa go in the opposite direction.
James Ducker, a reputable source when it comes to United news, claims United have scouted the German midfielder and believes that the free scoring 24-year-old could make the move to Old Trafford with Kagawa going back to Germany as part of the deal. He has also specified that Reus’ buyout clause is in the range of 35m.
Ofcourse this would be an excellent move for United as Reus can adjust in the hole behind the striker as well as on the left winger. And less consistency on the wings will be cured by this move if there is any truth in it. The sight of Reus and Nani on the wings with Januzaj in the attacking midfield would be a treat to watch.
Respect For this Awesome Mid Fielder..Mesut Ozil (Germany)
Arsenal new Star.Deserves repect for his elegant style of playing ....Must watch his class and his calm composed style....One Of the best in his position
